Santo Domingo IOCG Project - Chile

Status: Pre-Feasibility

In July 2008, PRRF completed a private placement with TSX listed Far West Mining Ltd to fund pre-feasibility expenditure at the Santo Domingo IOCG (iron ore, copper and gold) project located in northern Chile near Copiapo.

The 240 million tonne Santo Domingo Project contains a resource of 2.9 billion pounds of copper and 58 million tonnes of iron.  A scoping study has been prepared by independent consultants showing that over a 14 year mine life it may be possible to produce 2,023Mlbs of copper and 57Mt of iron.   A pre-feasibility study is currently being undertaken for this project including additional drilling which recommenced during the week of September 7.
