Phil Neutze, Director
Phil joined Pacific Road in early 2007 after three years managing Auckland City Council’s borrowing programme, treasury activities and overall revenue and finance strategy. Prior to that, Phil had nine years’ investment banking experience (including JPMorgan and PricewaterhouseCoopers) advising clients on growth strategies, mergers, acquisitions, divestments, takeovers, valuation, capital raising, and balance sheet structure.

Key mandates have included advising Wellington City Council on its shareholding and subordinated debt investments in Wellington International Airport, three Auckland local bodies on Vector’s takeover offer for their shares in United Networks, the board of Bendon Group Limited on the sale New Zealand China Clays and later on competing takeover offers for Bendon. Phil also advised Dairy Farm International on the sale of Woolworths New Zealand, Lyttelton Port Company on a long term coal handling contract, Royal Dutch Shell on the acquisition of Fletcher Challenge Energy, the National Bank of New Zealand on the sale of Southpac Investment Management Limited and Works and Development Services Corporation on the sale of Works Geothermal Limited.

Phil is a graduate with Honours in Agricultural Science from Lincoln University and holds a Master of Business Administration with Distinction from Massey University
