Bonasika Bauxite Project

Status:  Feasibility study underway  

In June 2009 PRRF provided funding in the form of convertible notes to First Bauxite Corporation to fund pre-feasibility expenditure on the Bonasika refractory bauxite project located in Guyana, South America.  

• First Bauxite controls one of the few independent refractory bauxite projects 
• Refractory bauxite is a high value specialty industrial mineral used in high temperature applications, e.g. to manufacture insulating bricks that line steel making blast furnaces
• Refractory grade bauxite only available in exportable quantities in Guyana and China
• Feasibility study underway
